Please note that the Alexandria St. Patrick's Day Parade is also taking place on Saturday March 6, 2010. The parade is scheduled from 12:30-2:30pm The Parade takes place down King St, between West and Fairfax Streets. Here is a link to the map of the parade route:
Our hotel location at the Sheraton Old Town is at 801 N. St Asaph St, Alexandria, VA. We are NOT on the parade route, but trying to navigate down and across King St will be difficult during certain times. If you approach the hotel from the North--via the GW Parkway which turns into Washington St, you should have no traffic problems. Approaching from the South and West will be trickier, and you should plan an alternate route that will avoid the King St. area.
